CEDI'S surge marks the beginning of sustainable economic reset - Ato Forson

Finance Minister Dr. Ato Forson has describe the recent appreciation of the Ghana Cedi as more than a currency recovery, calling it a signal of a sustainable economic reset. The Ghana Cedi has appreciated 16.7% in 2025. Dr. Forson said the currency's performance, crowned the "top-performing currency in April", and reflects a broader macroeconomic turnaround.

"This marks a significant reversal from the 13.4% depreciation observed in the same period of 2024," he stated.
